Teaching Experience
I began teaching individual violin lessons when I was 15 years old. My first two students were for cello, and throughout high school, I had a studio of about 7 students with a mix of violin, viola, and cello. Since moving to Boulder for my degree in Instrumental Music Education, I have had experience teaching in classrooms from 2017- to the present. I’ve been a sectional coach and counselor over the summers for CU’s middle school Summer Music Academy and Camp Con Brio. I’ve taught orchestra in a few elementary schools and was a long-term substitute at Silver Creek High School in the spring of 2022. In the Fall of 2022, I will be teaching orchestra for 6-8 grade at Brentwood Middle School in Greeley, CO while maintaining my active private studio.
Lessons
My lessons are individual-based to allow more focus on each student. Everybody has full capability of making music, and I want to do everything in my power to help students make music in a way that is meaningful for them. Students of every age are welcome; there is no such thing as being too old to learn how to make music. I will teach any student, from those passionate about becoming professionals to those only interested in learning the basics. I hope to cultivate to students individual experiences in hopes that music will remain in their life forever in whatever form is best for them.

Scales & Arpeggios
For music in “public domain” (usually true for music composed 75+ years ago) you can search and print music at imslp.org, but make sure to order real parts as well.
Ordering real parts allows you to keep all fingerings, bowings, markings, the accompaniment part which can be used for recitals, and will keep you from violating copyright laws by performing on copies.
