Master Classes and Music Festivals
National Asta conference COLLEGIATE Masterclass
During my education at University of Colorado Boulder, I have had many outside opportunities for professional development and involvement with the greater Boulder Community.
My most significant opportunity being the Collegiate Masterclass at the 2019 National ASTA Conference. This opportunity allowed me to perform for string educators across the country, and learn from renowned string pedagogue, Mimi Zweig from the Indiana University Jacob’s School of Music.
Study Abroad - Siena, Italy
May-June 2019, I had the opportunity to study abroad in the town of Italy located south of Florence, Tuscany. as a part of a small chamber music festival. I played pieces such as Grazyana Bacewicz’s Quartet for 4 Violins, Madeleine Dring’s Trio for Oboe, Flute, and Piano, as well as Mozart’s aria for flute and violin, L’amero saro Costante. We were able to perform in stunning churches from the Italian Renaissance in Alba and Cremona (videos of all performances under performance tab). While in Siena, I was able to participate in coachings led by Principle Cellist of the LA Philharmonic, Bob Demaine, as well as receive lessons from Assistant Professor of Violin at the University of Michigan, Aaron Berofsky. This unique experience learning in the historical Accademia Musicale Chigiana gave me a fresh inspiration for my performance, practice, and expanding my network among other incredible musicians.
